SONY "WF-C700N" Bluetooth pairing connection method. iPhone, Android, Nintendo Switch

This page explains how to pair Sony's wireless headset "WF-C700N".
To use the Bluetooth function, you must register the device to be connected in advance. This registration is called pairing.
Once pairing is complete, there is no need to pair again.

WF-C700N

Pairing: Android

Please review the requirements below before you begin pairing.

The headset and Android smartphone are placed within 1 meter.
The rechargeable battery is fully charged.

 

1) Put the headset into pairing mode.

Remove both headsets from the charging cable.

It will power on automatically and the headset will automatically go into pairing mode.

A notification tone will sound from both headsets, and the voice guidance "Pairing mode" will be played at the same time.

When pairing with a second or subsequent device, place the headset in the charging case and leave the charging case lid open.

With the lid of the charging case open, press and hold the pairing button (to the left of the USB-C connection terminal) on the back of the charging case for about 5 seconds or more.

*Pairing mode will not work if the charging case lid is closed, so be sure to leave it open.

The blue light on the charging case will flash twice and the headset will enter pairing mode.

Once in pairing mode, you can also remove the headset from the charging case.

2) If the screen of your Android smartphone is locked, unlock it.

3) Search for the headset on your Android smartphone

Select "Bluetooth" under "Device Connection" from "Settings".
Touch the switch button to turn on the Bluetooth function.
4) Touch “WF-C700N”.

If a passkey is requested, enter "0000".

Pairing is complete and the headset and smartphone are now connected.

When the headset is placed in the charging case, the light (blue) on the charging case will blink 10 times.

important point

The headset can be paired with up to 8 devices in total. If you pair a new device after pairing 8 devices, the pairing information with the oldest connection date and time among the 8 devices will be overwritten with the information of the new device.
The headset can be paired with multiple devices, but they cannot be played at the same time.

Pairing: iPhone

We will explain the procedure for pairing with an iPhone.

1) Put the headset into pairing mode

When you remove both headsets from the charging case, they will automatically go into pairing mode.

A notification tone will sound from both headsets, and the voice guidance "Pairing mode" will be played at the same time.

When pairing with a second or subsequent device, leave the headset set in the charging case and leave the charging case lid open.

With the charging case lid open, press and hold the pairing button on the back of the charging case for at least 5 seconds.

 

2) If your iPhone screen is locked, unlock it.

3) Search for the headset on your iPhone.

Select "Settings"
Touch "Bluetooth".
Touch the switch button to turn on the Bluetooth function.
4) Touch “WF-C700N”.

If a passkey is requested, enter "0000".

Pairing wireless earphones (WF-C700N) with Nintendo Switch

When pairing with Nintendo Switch, follow the same steps as above, but you will also need to perform operations on the Switch itself.

1) Select “Bluetooth Audio” from “Settings” on Nintendo Switch

2) Select "Register" to search for Bluetooth audio.

3) Set "WF-C700N" in the charging case and press and hold the pairing button for more than 5 seconds with the lid open.

If the connection is successful, the message "Connected to Bluetooth audio" will be displayed.

While connected, up to two wireless controllers can be connected.
Bluetooth audio connection will be disconnected during local communication.
